International students, who are attending UIL to study the English Language, are able to live in homestay accommodation with an Australian family.

Housing an international student can be a very rewarding experience. Students value the opportunity to converse in English, to be involved in daily life and to learn in the company of other people. The aim is to provide a supportive environment in which students can be part of an Australian family where English is the first language, to practice their English, experience the Australian way of life and learn about Australian culture.

Hosting a student from another country is a challenge and an opportunity. Involvement with a student challenges a host family to become familiar with another culture, while providing the opportunity to share a young student’s hopes and ambitions. These challenges and opportunities promise to enrich the lives of every member of your family.
